Buying from out of state
Most of our cars leave New York.
So most of our buyers decide from a distance. This is what you can check before you commit, what a first payment does, and what happens after it.
Who you are dealing with
- Ryan Friedman Motor Cars LLC, 112 Glen Street, Glen Cove, New York 11542. The New York State DMV lists this business at that address as a Retail Motor Vehicle Dealer, facility number 7121972. You can look the number up yourself in the DMV’s “Find a DMV Regulated Business” search.
- We have been listing cars since 2017. 2,614 cars we have sold are still on this site, with their photographs, mileage and stock numbers, in the sold archive.
- The people you will speak to are on the team page, including a title clerk and a service and reconditioning manager.
What you can check before you commit
- Listings print the car’s VIN and our stock number, so you can check the car against any history service you trust.
- Listings link to the car’s CARFAX report, and carry the window sticker, build sheet or service records where we hold them, under “Documents & History”.
- Every car is inspected and sorted before it is offered for sale. If something needs attention, it gets it here, not after delivery.
- Ask us about anything the listing does not show you. Questions about a car’s history, what has been done to it, or what it would take to get it to you are the ones we most like being asked.
From first call to delivery

Reserve the car
Cars marked Buy It Now can be reserved online with a $1,000 first payment, taken by card on Stripe’s own checkout page. It secures your place on the car while we confirm availability, and the full $1,000 is credited to the price. For any other car, call or send us a message and we will go through it with you.

We call you
A member of the team calls to confirm availability and your reservation. Paperwork, payment of the balance and transport are then arranged with you directly.
- 03
Title, registration and transport
We handle the title and registration paperwork and arrange transport. Most of our cars leave the state, and that part is routine here. Listed prices are plus tax, title and transport.
The first payment, plainly
- It is not refunded if you change your mind. That is what reserves the car; it is a commitment, not an option.
- If the car turns out not to be available, the full $1,000 is refunded.
- It is the only payment this website takes for a car. Your card details are entered on Stripe’s page and never reach our servers.
Keeping your money safe
We never ask for a social security number, a date of birth, bank details or card numbers through this website. If something claiming to be us does, it is not us. Call 516-888-9000.
We are not a lender. Financing is arranged with lenders who understand these cars, and the credit check happens on the lender’s own secure system, not ours. How financing works.
