Why it is a separate shop
The service side of the building exists to get a car right before it is offered for sale. This is the other thing: looking after a car that is already yours, on whatever rhythm suits it — a wash every few weeks, a correction before a show, a coating that means the next two years are easier.
It is the same building and the same people who spend their days around cars of this kind, which is the only qualification that matters when somebody is going to put a machine polisher on your paint.
